Disney on Ice at the Araneta Coliseum

Wednesday, January 18, 2012

Once again courtesy of my friend N, we got to watch Disney on Ice at the Araneta Coliseum with complimentary tickets. Via insisted on wearing her tutu which she wore on her birthday so people were looking at her every where we went.

The show opened with some fireworks that Via found too loud. She enjoyed the skating and stood up to imitate them.

Via was entranced with all the skating and dancing. Disney on Ice shows every year, I think, at the Araneta Coliseum and kids really enjoy it. Via squealed every time a character she knew came on.

It was fun for the kids. There were very nice souvenir items too but way too expensive, it's ridiculous. Yellow Cab later capping a fun day with great pizza!

On other news this week, well I caught Via's sore eyes so I am cooped up at home. It's been two days and I've been enjoying this sort of vacation. I was hoping it would clear up in two or three days but looks likes it will take longer. Via's took 7 days and she had fever around the 4th day. I guess it peaked then. I don't have fever but I have tender nodules. I guess it will be better tomorrow. Hard to be away from the office when there's a lot of juicy news there :)

Meralco's Maliwanag ang Pasko and Liwanag Park

Sunday, January 1, 2012

Meralco,  the power company, usually has really nice light displays during the holiday season and this time they had the Meralco's Maliwanag ang Pasko and Liwanag Park. We went to see it last night. Free entrance, anyone can just go in. I brought my camera to take photos but guess what, after a few shots the battery ran out. I forgot to charge it. So some of the pics are not that clear because I took them with the camera on my mobile phone. This is the entrance here. I took this photo as we were leaving actually.

There was a train ride, again FREE! The train seats 16 people and goes round the track about 5 times or maybe a little more. It sure was fun.

There were several structures made to look like houses and churches.

Meralco's Maliwanag ang Pasko and Liwanag Park is really a great place to relax and enjoy the cool night air. This nativity scene is huge and this it the last photo I took with my digicam before it ran out of battery.

And....here it's time to go home because Via stepped in some mud and got here feet and shoes soaked in mud. But we had fun at Meralco's Maliwanag ang Pasko and Liwanag Park. I am looking forward to next year's light display.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
