It's been a crazy week and I'm truly glad it's Friday! I really need a respite from work. Adding to that is our badminton club's dual meet with another company and I've had to help out in scheduling the games and arranging the line up. My first time to do so. I didn't realize it involved so much work.

I know today will be super toxic and thankfully we can dress casual on Fridays. I deliberately chose to wear comfortable clothing like these "aladdin pants" that my friend Bex brought back for me from Bangkok. My flats from Liz Claiborne adds just the touch to make it right for the office.

What I love about my get up today is that it can easily transition for a nightout, a casual nightout that is.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Mommy & Me Monday

My first time to join Mommy and Me Monday. Thank you Kristin for thinking of it.

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?
Hosted by Krystyn

Playing "sungka" with my 21-month old daughter during our recent visit to my mother's hometown. Sungka is the Philippine version of "Congkak", a mancala game popular in Borneo, Singapore, Peninsular Malaysia and Java in Indonesia. Great way to teach a toddler how to count.

When I was pregnant and shopping for newborn things for my daughter, I avoided pink like the plague. I never liked pink. Instead I chose yellows and greens and blues. No matter, she still had tons of pink clothes because most of the gifts she got were pink. Because of that, I think it's growing on me. I surprised myself and bought her a pink dress recently.

Then she got a playsuit and shoes from Grandma and my cousin in the US. Both were pink and I loved them. I'm now liking pink, dark pink that is. I still don't like the baby pink stuff.

Funny because Via only knows the color blue and nothing else. My dislike might be rubbing off on her.

A Short Story

One day, at the Garden of our loved ones.....

Little boy: Hi! Would you like to come and play?

Little girl: Let me think about it....

Little girl: Hmmmm....should I go and play with him?

Little Boy: This looks good on your hair....

Little boy: I guess she's not impressed with the twig......
